Medical Assistant
Westlake Psychiatry & Psychology Associates is a private pay, mental wellness clinic that provides medication management, psychotherapy, and psychological testing in an outpatient setting. We are dedicated to helping families and individuals of all ages to effectively address a wide array of neurological and psychiatric conditions. Our practice is quickly growing and we are seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to our patients. We’re looking for someone who is committed to excellence, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys problem-solving. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Medical liaison between patients and providers

Triage patient care appropriately

Point of contact for patient questions, concerns, and updates

Refill prescriptions online and by phone to pharmacies
· Must be able to talk to pharmacies and patients about medication issues

Log medications in charts and prepare charts for clinicians

Submit patient questions to the clinicians and provide responses to patients in a timely manner

Multi-task between immediate patient needs, clinician requests, prior authorizations, and refilling same-day appointment medications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a medical or pharmacy setting and is familiar with medications is required. Office or customer service experience is preferred. WPPA is looking for candidates who are pursuing a long-term career in mental health or general healthcare.
